RTPR awarded Legal Adviser of the Year at ROPEA Awards Gala 2025

RTPR, one of the most important law firms in Romania, won “Legal Adviser of the Year” at the ROPEA Awards Gala 2025 – Romanian Private Equity Association.

RTPR’s performance is even more remarkable given that the law firm has won this trophy at each of the three editions of the awards organised to date, setting a record for performance and consistency in excellence. Its client portfolio in this sector recommends the law firm as the first choice for private equity funds, having been involved in recent years in transactions such as the sale of Profi, considered to be the largest private equity deal ever concluded in Romania.

The award was announced last night, December 10th, during a gala event marking the 20th anniversary of ROPEA and was accepted by Alina Stavaru and Roxana Ionescu, Partners at RTPR. They told us:

The association aimed to reward performance in the private equity and venture capital sector, as well as the most active advisers who contributed to these transactions. The finalists were shortlisted by an independent jury of experts, representatives of financial institutions and industry associations, and the winners were selected by the vote of the members.

Highlights of the most significant mandates with funds, members of ROPEA, in which RTPR advised last year include:

-        MidEuropa on the sale of Regina Maria Group to Mehiläinen in the largest ever healthcare services transaction in Central Europe

-        MidEuropa on the sale of Cargus to courier company SAMEDAY, part of the eMAG group

-        Abris Capital Partners on the sale of Pehart Grup, one of the largest paper producers in South-Eastern Europe, to INVL Baltic Sea Growth Fund, the leading private equity fund in the Baltic States

-        Resource Partners on the acquisition of a majority stake in Ia Bilet SRL, the most important ticketing platform in Romania, as well as of the concert organiser BestMusic Concerts SRL

-        ROCA Investments on the sale of its shareholding stake in Artesana, the well-known local producer of premium natural artisanal dairy products

-        Integral Capital Group on the acquisition of a majority stake in Embryos, a leading fertility and gynaecology clinic in Romania, specialised in assisted reproduction technology, offering an integrated suite of fertility treatments, including IVF

-        Black Sea Fund and the founders of Gymboland in follow-on investment in Kids Element S.A.
